The Smithsonian National Postal Museum is devoted to the colorful and engaging history of the nation’s mail service and showcases the largest and most comprehensive collection of stamps and philatelic material in the world. Just steps away from bustling Union Station and the heart of Capitol Hill, the Museum is a historic Beaux Arts style building. The spectacular 90-foot-high atrium features three vintage airmail planes suspended high above elegant marble floors and the Historic Lobby features a marble rosette ceiling over marble floors and columns. The Museum also offers two rooms for business meetings and conferences. The Blount Center is a sleek cherry-wood and glass room while the Discovery Center is versatile and relaxed. Both rooms feature an electric projection screen for presentations. The National Postal Museum is perfect for all types of events from galas and seated dinners to cocktail receptions, lectures and business meetings.
